ToolCheck is a browser extension that helps people check whether a tool price is a fair deal.

What we read

When you click “Is this a good deal?” on a supported store page, ToolCheck reads the product title, model number, brand, current price, and page URL so it can compare that item with prices we have saved.

Those product details and prices are sent to our server so we can keep a 90-day price history and show other-store comparisons.

Accounts and sales of data

We do not create user accounts. We do not sell your data.

Price-drop alerts

If you choose to watch a price, you enter an email address. We use that address only to send you the activation link and, if you confirm the watch, one email when we see the price drop. You can ask us to delete that email at any time.

Bug reports

If you use Report a bug, we save the message, the page URL, the store, and the product title so we can fix the problem.
